Description

The City of Bridgeport is seeking proposals for the development of a citywide Climate Resilience Plan. The work under this contract will involve providing a comprehensive range of services, including but not limited to data analysis, community engagement, and the compilation of the final plan. The plan must adopt a neighborhood-focused approach, ensuring representation and consideration of all neighborhoods within Bridgeport in both the analysis and resulting recommendations. Additionally, the plan should include actionable items that address four major themes: infrastructure resilience, social resilience, environmental resilience, and economic resilience. This solicitation is issued by the City of Bridgeport, acting through its Office of Planning and Economic Development (OPED). The City has obtained funding for this project through the CT DEEP's Climate Resilience Fund grant program, as detailed at https://portal.ct.gov/connecticutclimateaction/executive-order/deep-climate-resilience-fund. This funding supports the creation of a comprehensive plan to improve Bridgeport's climate resilience at the citywide level. Interested parties are invited to submit proposals that demonstrate their ability to deliver the required services, with a focus on robust data analysis, effective community engagement, and the development of a plan that is both actionable and inclusive of all Bridgeport neighborhoods. Proposals should clearly address the four key themes of resilience and outline strategies for ensuring broad community representation throughout the planning process.
