BDL - Long Term Surface Parking Lot 3

Background
The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) is seeking bids for the construction of a long-term surface parking lot at Bradley International Airport. The goal of this contract is to create an approximate 1,500-space parking facility to enhance airport operations and accommodate increased passenger traffic.

Work Details
The project consists of the construction of an approximate 1,500-space long-term surface parking lot located within the footprint of the former car rental site off Schoephoester Road. It includes a new entry/exit plaza at Postal Road servicing both the new parking lot and existing Economy Lot 3.

Additional work includes: relocation of Postal Road between the USPS facility and Light Lane; construction of a new exit road from the Amazon belly cargo facility; pavement reclamation; installation of curbing; drainage systems; bituminous asphalt pavement; lighting; landscaping; bus shelters; EV charging stations; and other site amenities. The total site area is approximately 14 acres.

Period of Performance
The contract time for completion of all work is within two hundred and seventy (270) calendar days from the date specified in the 'Notice to Proceed'.

Place of Performance
Bradley International Airport, Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Federal Contract Provisions including Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation with a goal of 11.60%. Bidders are required to submit a certified check, cashier's check, or satisfactory Bid Bond equal to 5% of the bid amount.

Successful bidders must provide a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond in an amount not less than 100% of the contract price. All bidders must be registered to access bid documents and submit bids electronically through https://ctairports.procureware.com.
