24-0-223 Research MRI Renovation

Background
The UConn Health Center is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the renovation of a 500 square foot room to accommodate a new Animal Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine.
The goal of the contract is to ensure that the necessary Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems are installed to support the operation of the MRI machine.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for renovating an existing 500 square foot room specifically designed for the installation of a new Animal MRI.
This includes:
- Installation of new Mechanical systems to support the MRI operation.
- Installation of new Electrical systems tailored for the MRI equipment.
- Installation of new Plumbing systems as required for the MRI setup.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to begin on May 16, 2025, and is expected to be completed by June 16, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at UConn Health Center located at 16 Munson Road, Farmington, CT, 06030.

Bidder Requirements
All vendors are eligible to respond to this bid. There are no specific set-aside certifications or local requirements mentioned in the solicitation.
