REPLACE, Mt. Shavano SFU - Hatchery Modernization Const.

Background
The Mt. Shavano SFU – Hatchery Modernization project is initiated by Colorado Parks and Wildlife, aimed at renovating the existing hatchery facilities located at 7725 Co Rd 154, Salida, CO 81201.
The project is designed to enhance the operational capabilities of the hatchery, ensuring it meets modern standards for fish rearing and water treatment.
The engineering services are provided by Schnabel Engineering, LLC, with additional support from various consultants for mechanical and architectural design.

Work Details
The contract encompasses a comprehensive range of construction activities including:
1. Site Improvements (Area 10) such as a fuel station, cold storage area, yard piping, and effluent pump station.
2. Aeration & Degassing Tower (Area 20).
3. Office Building (Area 30).
4. Production Building (Area 40).
5. Water Treatment Plant (Area 50).
6. Cold Storage (Area 60).
7. Parking Garage (Area 70).
8. Effluent Pond (Area 80).
9. Bid Alternates including:
a. Automated feed system (Area 40)
b. Final Design and Installation of Solar Panels in Areas 30, 40, and 70.
The contractor is responsible for all demolition, civil work, landscaping, architectural work, structural work, mechanical work, electrical work, and instrumentation and control work as specified in the contract documents.

Period of Performance
The construction period will commence upon approval of contract documents and is expected to continue until all specified works are completed as per the project schedule established by the contractor.

Place of Performance
All construction activities will take place at the Mt. Shavano State Hatchery located at 7725 Co Rd 154, Salida, CO 81201 in Chaffee County, Colorado.
