Background
The Sherwood Creek Restoration Construction Project is managed by the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety under the State of Colorado. Work Details

4) Grade a waste pile berm with approximately 1,500 cubic yards of material;
5) Excavation of the channel footprint;
6) Construct three step pool variants (23 pools grouped into three variants);
7) Apply and incorporate soil amendments including 280 cubic yards of compost and 1,600 pounds of Sustane fertilizer;
8) Compaction and final grading of approximately 4,500 cubic yards in the consolidation area.

Additional tasks include traffic control plans, sediment control measures, and ensuring compliance with stormwater permits.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to commence upon execution of the agreement and will continue until all tasks are completed as outlined in the bid documents. Key dates include bid submission on June 17th, 2025.

The project will take place at Sherwood Creek, located within Boulder County, Colorado.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must have prior experience with at least two excavation/stream channel construction projects involving over ten thousand cubic yards of material moved. Equipment operators must provide references for similar projects. Additionally, contractors are required to use bio hydraulic fuel in specific excavators (CAT 325 or equivalent and CAT 304 EZ or equivalent), while other equipment does not require biodiesel compatibility.
