Mount Ouray SFU - Insulate Nurse Basin Building

Background
The Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife is issuing a solicitation for the Mount Ouray SFU - Insulate Nurse Basin Building project. The goal of this contract is to enhance the energy efficiency and structural integrity of the existing nurse basin building by replacing its metal roof and wall panels with composite insulated panels. This project aligns with the agency's mission to manage and conserve Colorado's wildlife resources and their habitats.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for removing and disposing of existing metal roof and wall panels, as well as installing new composite insulated panels. Specific tasks include:

1. Mobilization of personnel, equipment, and supplies.
2. Removal and disposal of 6,800 square feet of existing metal roof and wall panels.
3. Removal and resetting of existing doors (1 lump sum).
4. Removal and protection of existing windows and louvers (1 lump sum).
5. Installation of 3,020 square feet of composite insulated metal roof panels (26 Gauge, R-25 rated).
6. Installation of 3,780 square feet of composite insulated metal wall panels (26 Gauge, R-15 rated) including all trim.
7. Removal and disposal of existing gutters and downspouts (1 lump sum).
8. Installation of new gutters and downspouts (1 lump sum).
9. Optional: Installation of two 15’W x 10’H insulated overhead doors.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to be completed within 60 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, tentatively scheduled for December 17, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Mount Ouray State Fish Unit located at 8825 County Road 160, Salida, CO 81201 in Chaffee County.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered to do business in Colorado and provide a Certificate of Good Standing. Additionally, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) may claim a 5% bid preference if they provide appropriate certification documentation with their bid.
