Background
The project involves the repair and replacement of damaged gym wood flooring at the Ridge View Youth Services Center, which suffered damage due to a storm on June 26, 2023.
The water leakage from the roof caused significant damage to the gym floor, necessitating these repairs.
The Ridge View Youth Services Center is focused on providing services to youth in need.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Tear out water-damaged wood and plywood in the northeast section of the main gym.
2. Install ½ inch plywood at a 45-degree angle over sleepers, ensuring a ¼ inch gap at the perimeter of panels and allowing for 1 ½ inch expansion voids at all vertical obstructions.
3. Install fiber paper over the subfloor.
4. Install action floor MFMA 2nd $ Better 25/32 x 2 ¼ strip maple, fastening with 2-inch power-driven staples while maintaining a 1 ½ inch expansion at the perimeter.
5. Sand and recoat the entire gym floor in sections, ensuring that bleachers are moved away from walls to allow for sanding and coating application.
The contractor will hire a company to move bleachers back into place after completion of work, and all court stripes will be installed but no team logos will be repainted.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is September 2024, with an expected duration of six months.

The work will be performed at Ridge View Youth Services Center located at 28101 E Quincy Ave., Watkins, CO 80137.
