Hydrogen Fueling Station Hub

Background
McKinley County is seeking qualifications from interested firms that can provide planning, architectural, engineering, and other related services for the development of an Autonomous Commercial Truck and Mobility Complex (Hydrogen Fueling Station Hub). The project aims to support the research, testing, and deployment of autonomous and mobility technology on Interstate 40 and establish alternative fueling options for commercial vehicles on Interstate 40.

Work Details
The successful proposer will provide planning, architectural, engineering, and other related services for the development of a Hydrogen Fueling Station Hub. This includes reviewing existing documentation, developing a working group to solicit input from stakeholders, conducting a site analysis to determine the best location for development, providing a 100% design for facilities including fueling bays for hydrogen and diesel, charging bays for electric, administration/office space, warehouse space, maintenance facilities, site design including infrastructure and utilities, public presentation of design development deliverables to County Commission meetings,
preparation of detailed construction drawings and technical specifications,
bid and construction administration assistance,
marketing materials for business development and investment at the site,
identification of sources for construction funding including state and federal grants as well as innovative public-private partnerships.

Period of Performance
The proposal deadline is Thursday April 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. local time. The evaluation of proposals is scheduled for April 22-26, 2024. The execution of agreement and notice to proceed dates are yet to be determined.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed in Gallup, New Mexico near Exit 16 at Interstate 40.
