Description

Background
The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking proposals for Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Testing and Inspection Services. The agency's mission is to ensure the safety and reliability of its fire systems across various facilities. The goal of this contract is to provide comprehensive maintenance, testing, repair, and emergency call services for RTD's fire alarm and sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Work Details
The successful proposer will be responsible for full-service fire alarm and fire sprinkler system services, including:
- Inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of all RTD fire systems.
- Emergency call services available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
- Compliance with all applicable codes including NFPA standards and local regulations.
- Development of procedures to prevent recurring defects in services.
- Obtaining necessary permits for maintenance or repair work.
- Conducting routine inspections and tests as per the established schedule.
- Providing detailed reports on inspections, tests, and any identified repairs within specified timeframes.
- Maintaining communication with RTD personnel regarding service requests and emergencies.

Period of Performance
The contract performance shall commence upon the Effective Date or upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed from RTD. It will continue for three years, with the option to extend for two additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various RTD facilities located in Denver, Colorado.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers are encouraged to pursue subcontracting opportunities with Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) or Small Business Enterprises (SBE). Proposals must include documentation of efforts to include DBEs/SBEs in the contracting opportunity. Additionally, proposers must demonstrate their commitment to diversity in their workforce and subcontracting strategies.
