DQ Armed Guard/Security Personnel Services

Background
The Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) in the State of Colorado is seeking quotes to acquire armed guard/security personnel services for the State located in the Civic Center Plaza building at 1560 Broadway, Denver, CO 80202. DORA has ten divisions and employs approximately 600 employees dedicated to preserving the integrity of the marketplace and promoting a fair and competitive business environment throughout Colorado.
The anticipated term of the Contract resulting from the award of this solicitation is to begin on July 1, 2024, and end on June 30, 2025. This Contract may be renewed for up to two additional one-year periods at the sole discretion of the State. The total duration of this Contract, including all options, is not to exceed three years.

Work Details
The armed guard/security personnel services required include providing security services from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday at the DORA Welcome Center. Duties include monitoring the center for security purposes, handling disorderly visitors, intervening when necessary to stop injurious acts, conducting searches for firearms or other weapons, detaining individuals when necessary for further investigation or arrest, safeguarding against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry, responding to reports of ill or injured employees or visitors, responding to threats of bombs or other terroristic events, reporting all security incidents within 24 hours of occurrence, and other related security tasks.
The guards must be properly licensed and trained in firearm use and must meet specific requirements regarding continuity and stability.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period beginning on July 1, 2024, and ending on June 30, 2025. It may be renewed for up to two additional one-year periods at the sole discretion of the State.

The contract will be performed at the Civic Center Plaza building located at 1560 Broadway, Denver, CO 80202.
