DQ 25-008 Sole Source COSMED BOD POD

Background
The Health and Wellness/SEM Division of Pikes Peak State College is seeking to procure a Bod Pod from COSMED, recognized as the gold standard in body fat composition measurement. This procurement aims to enhance educational opportunities for students by providing hands-on experience with advanced equipment critical for their professional development.

The Bod Pod will be the first of its kind available to the general public in Colorado Springs, aside from Fort Carson Military Base.

Work Details
The contract includes the purchase of a Bod Pod system and associated equipment, specifically:
- 1 Bod Pod unit (BODPODGS-X) at $52,500
- 1 workstation (BODPODGS-X) at $2,350
- 1 breathing tube and filter kit at $230
- 50 Lycra caps at $15 each totaling $562.50
- Additional items such as nose clips, swim suits, window cleaners, installation and training services, and a 5-year extended service plan for the Bod Pod totaling $20,625.

The total estimated cost for this procurement is $81,553.50.

Period of Performance
The approval period for this procurement is from October 9, 2024, to June 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
The Bod Pod and associated services will be delivered to the Centennial campus of Pikes Peak State College located at 5675 S Academy Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO.
