Background
The project is titled 'Utility Water Lines Replacement, Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility' and is issued by the Colorado Department of Corrections / Facility Management Services. The project aims to replace the existing underground heating and chilled water utilities, water softener system, and piping mains at the Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility.

Work Details
The scope of services includes field verification, equipment/engineering submittals, selective demolition, installation of mechanical equipment, electrical connections, concrete work, utilidor repair, surveying, earthwork, piping installation (steel, HDPE, prefabricated direct bury), horizontal directional drilling, access doors, salt brine tank, and a triplex water softener system.
Additionally, it involves repairing existing rolled-grooved joint fittings, couplings, and valves on the heating hot water piping system.
The project also requires coordination of state permitting and inspections.

Period of Performance
The schedule of events includes a mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting on May 8th and a non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting on May 17th in 2024.
The sealed bids are due on June 13th at 1330 (MST).
The negotiation of the general contractor contract is projected for June 28th in 2024.
