Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Intermediary

Background
The Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) is seeking proposals for a Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Intermediary to train individuals and create a training network for the delivery of child sexual abuse prevention.
This initiative is part of the agency's mission to ensure a comprehensive, community-informed, data-driven, high-quality early childhood system that supports the care, education, and well-being of all Colorado’s young children.
The contract aims to address the alarming rates of child sexual abuse in Colorado, as highlighted by reports from the child welfare hotline.

Work Details
The selected intermediary will be responsible for:
1. Delivering the 'Stewards of Children' Darkness to Light (D2L) training curriculum statewide.
2. Creating a network of trainers who will provide D2L training in their local communities.
3. Offering ongoing training and technical support to these trainers.
4. Maintaining and updating training materials as necessary.
5. Facilitating a Community of Practice (COP) for trainers to share best practices and emerging trends in child sexual abuse prevention.
6. Providing mini-grants to certified trainers to cover training costs and remove barriers for attendees.
7. Collaborating with the National D2L office for post-survey assessments and developing a survey tool with stakeholders to evaluate training effectiveness.

Period of Performance
The anticipated initial term of the contract will be from September 1, 2024, or upon execution of a contract, through June 30, 2025, with an option for four additional one-year renewals at the discretion of the State.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed throughout the State of Colorado.
