Background
The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (Department) is soliciting competitive, responsive proposals from experienced and financially sound organizations to perform translation services, transcreation services, and translated text editing support for the Department, as well as in-person and virtual/remote language interpretation services for Department activities, such as external meetings. The Department serves as the Medicaid Single State Agency and develops and implements policy and financing for Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program in Colorado. The Department requires a wide range of translation, transcreation, and editing support for print and digital media across its programs, as well as in-person and remote language interpretation services for external communications.

Work Details
The Contractor will provide interpretation, translation, transcreation, editing services upon request by the Department. Interpretation services will include consecutive and simultaneous interpretations available in both in-person and virtual/remote settings for Department meetings and communications with the public.
Translations and transcreations will include documents, written or printed materials, web documentation, websites, alternative text (alt text), video captioning, and voiceovers. The primary translated language will be Spanish; however, the Department may request translation into the top eight most prevalent languages in Colorado or any language in response to a request. Interpretation services must be readily available in all frequently encountered languages.

Period of Performance
The Contract’s anticipated start date shall be July 1, 2024 or upon contract execution. The total duration of the Contract is not anticipated to exceed five years.
