Airport Engineering Services

Background
Grand County is soliciting statements of qualifications from consultants to provide Airport Engineering Services for both Kremmling McElroy Airfield and Granby Grand County Emily Warner Field. The County aims to engage full-service engineering consultants with experience in airport projects, particularly those familiar with FAA guidelines. The contract will utilize federal and state funds for improvements at the airports. The County reserves the right to reject any or all qualification statements if deemed in the Airport's interest.

Work Details
The consultant shall provide services as specified in FAA Advisory Circular 150/5100-14E § 1.4.2 and 1.4.3, including but not limited to:

1. Kremmling McElroy Airfield (K20V):
A. Taxiway and taxi-lane development;
B. Aircraft apron development;
C. Helicopter ramp area design and development;
D. Fuel system upgrade, relocation, unleaded Avgas implementation;
E. Wildlife fence rehabilitation;
F. Upgrade and relocate Automated Weather Station, Windsock, and segmented circle;
G. Upgrade snow removal equipment building;
H. Hangar area development and preparation;
I. Displaced threshold design and development;
J. Airfield pavement maintenance;
K. Terminal building construction.

2. Granby Grand County Emily Warner Field (KGNB):
A. Runway rehabilitation/reconstruction;
B. Airfield lighting and navaid upgrades;
C. Taxi lane development and design;
D. Ramp area design and development;
E. Parallel taxiway design and development;
F. Taxiway and ramp rehabilitation;
G. Upgrade snow removal equipment building;
H. Hangar area development and preparation;
I. Wildlife fence rehabilitation;
J. Segmented circle design and relocation;
K. Terminal building improvements.

Period of Performance
The contract awarded will be for a period of up to five years, with work accomplished over several grant projects and cycles.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Kremmling McElroy Airfield (K20V) and Granby Grand County Emily Warner Field (KGNB) located in Grand County, Colorado.

Bidder Requirements
Firms must have recent similar experience on airport projects under FAA guidance, including knowledge of environmental requirements related to such projects. Insurance requirements include: Worker’s Compensation (statutory), General Liability ($1M each occurrence, $2M aggregate), Auto Liability ($1M each occurrence, $1M aggregate), Professional Liability ($1M each occurrence, $1M aggregate).
