Background
The Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife is issuing a solicitation for the AHRA - Vallie Bridge Site Improvements project, aimed at enhancing accessibility and facilities at the Vallie Bridge Recreation Site.

The project aligns with the agency's mission to provide quality recreational opportunities while ensuring compliance with ADA standards.

Work Details
The contract involves the removal and replacement of concrete flatwork, changing rooms, and restroom fixtures. Specific tasks include:
1. Mobilization of personnel and equipment.
2. Disassembly and storage of an existing 3-panel sign.
3. Demolition of existing concrete structures, changing rooms, stairs, restroom doors, door frames, and landscaping as necessary.
4. Earthwork including excavation and compaction.
5. Geotechnical engineering services for material testing.
6. Furnishing and installing Class 6 road base for sub-base of concrete flatwork (80 tons).
7. Installing 5” thick mesa buff colored concrete for sidewalks (790 SF) and use pads.
8. Installing 5” thick with thickened edge mesa buff colored concrete for new changing rooms (167 SF).
9. Installing 6” thick mesa buff colored concrete for parking pads (730 SF) and sign footer.
10. Constructing mesa buff colored concrete stairs as per specifications.
11. Installing new changing rooms as per plans.
12. Reinstalling the 3-panel sign after improvements.
13. Furnishing and installing boulder edging (15 tons) and decorative river rock (0.5 tons).
14. Removing and replacing restroom doors, frames, hardware (2 each), along with interior improvements per plans.
15. Furnishing and installing a pedestal grill as detailed in specifications.
16. Furnishing, installing, and compacting red colored Class 6 road base for driveways/roads (75 tons).

Period of Performance
The work is expected to be completed within 45 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with substantial completion targeted by November 14, 2024.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Vallie Bridge Recreation Site located at 10375 Co Rd 45, Cotopaxi, CO 81223 in Fremont County.
