Background
The City of Pueblo is issuing this solicitation for the 29th Street Pump Station Electrical Repair project, aimed at restoring the electrical systems of the pump station and its associated electrical building to full functionality. The initiative focuses on modernizing infrastructure, enhancing redundancy, and ensuring reliable operability of the pump station, which is crucial for efficient management of stormwater. A comprehensive electrical evaluation was conducted in February 2025 to identify necessary repairs.

Work Details
The project involves a range of repairs and improvements including:

1. Vault Repairs:
- Repairing water damage in the pump station vault.
- Replace corroded lighting fixtures and emergency lights suitable for wet locations.
- Install new wiring for lighting circuits.
- Replace corroded conduit fittings.
- Replace existing water-on-floor sensor with a sealed float switch and associated wiring.
- Replace wet well level transmitter and its wiring.
- Replace electric heaters and thermostats, rewiring as necessary.
- Install new exhaust fans, including an in-line fan on the vault lid.
- Upgrade electrical receptacles to PVC-coated variants.
- Install a duplex sump system with submersion-rated boxes and fittings.

2. Vault Lid Repairs:
- Replace missing conduit plugs and secure junction boxes properly.
- Seal conduit sleeves to prevent water leakage.

3. Wet Well Repairs:
- Install brackets for leveling floats and weighted floats for improved maintenance.

4. Electrical Building Repairs:
- Replace exhaust fan in the electrical building, install breaker fillers, replace power factor correction capacitor fuses, verify breaker labeling, and install a call-out system for alarms.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 30 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be conducted at the 29th Street Pump Station located in Pueblo, Colorado.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide payment and performance bonds prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed. They are required to comply with nondiscrimination policies as per §1.8 of the Pueblo Municipal Code, ensuring equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, ancestry, disability, age or national origin. Bidders must also submit a complying Affirmative Action Program if their contract exceeds $10,000.
