2026 Thermoplastic Markings

Background
Boulder County Public Works is seeking to procure services for the installation of preformed thermoplastic pavement markings as part of its annual maintenance program. The goal of this contract is to maintain the visibility and safety of roadway markings throughout Boulder County, which are subject to wear over time. The contractor may also be tasked with additional installations on roadways during the 2026 calendar year.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, machinery, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary for the installation of preformed thermoplastic pavement markings. Specific tasks include:
1. Installation of various types of thermoplastic markings including stop lines, crosswalks, and railroad crossings at designated locations throughout Boulder County.
2. Compliance with Boulder County's specifications for thermoplastic marking application, including not applying markings on chip seal striping roads until approved by the project manager.
3. Participation in a kickoff meeting where specific marking locations will be provided by the county.
4. Cleaning up excess materials from the work site post-installation.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on or before May 31, 2026, and will conclude on December 31, 2026. All work must be completed within this timeframe.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations throughout Boulder County, Colorado.

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must provide both a payment and performance bond equal to 100% of the proposed cost for this project. Additionally, contractors are required to comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding safety and environmental standards.
