2025 Floor Covering at Airport

Background
Montrose Regional Airport, located in southwest Colorado, serves commercial and general aviation with airlines including American, Delta, United, and Southwest. The airport connects to major cities such as Denver, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, New York/Newark, San Francisco, and Austin.

The goal of this contract is to replace the existing floor covering in the main terminal area with new Tarkett-ID Latitude flooring.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor and materials necessary for the project which includes:
- Removal of approximately 3978.48 square feet of existing tile flooring
- Disposal of construction debris
- Dust control
- Preparation of the floor
- Installation of Tarkett-ID Latitude Stone & Concrete flooring (majority color 3515 Alumin and accent color 3519 Concrete Charcoal) in 18"x18" tiles
- Installation of a new 6" wall base
- Transition strips between LVT and tile.

The contractor must ensure minimal disruption to passenger access during installation.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to begin on May 7, 2025.

Place of Performance
2100 Airport Road, Montrose, Colorado.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least five years of experience in flooring services similar to this project. They must demonstrate capability in planning and providing necessary equipment and personnel for the removal and installation tasks.

Bidders should have no outstanding judgments or bankruptcies within the last five years. They must also meet insurance requirements including liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate. A proposal bond or certified check for $500 is required with the proposal.
