Background
The City of Beaumont, through its Public Works Department, is seeking bids for the WWTP Improvements project (CIP WW24-01) focused on landscaping.
The project aims to enhance the landscaping at the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) by installing various features including irrigation systems, planting trees and shrubs, and erecting a monument sign.
This initiative aligns with the city's commitment to improving public infrastructure and environmental aesthetics.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing and installing landscaping elements which include:
- Weed barrier installation
- Irrigation system setup
- Planting of various trees and shrubs including:
- 8 Honey Mesquite trees (36” box)
- 15 Desert Museum Palo Verde trees (24” box)
- 4 Giant Yucca trees (24” box)
- 37 shrubs (15-gallon)
- 410 shrubs (5-gallon)
- 765 shrubs (1-gallon)
- Installation of a monument sign
- Installation of steel benches and trash receptacles
- Concrete paving, DG paving, and geocell installation as specified in the bid schedule.
The work also includes maintaining updated as-builts and providing final record drawings.

Period of Performance
The contract duration shall not exceed 270 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 715 W. 4th Street, Beaumont, CA 92223.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a California Class 'C-27' contractor's license and must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
All subcontractors must also hold valid licenses and DIR registration. Additionally, bidders are required to provide a bid security of at least 10% of the total bid price in the form of cash, certified check, or bid bond.
The successful bidder will need to furnish performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount.
