Weekly Laundry Services IFB - CN240288

Background
The California Department of Education (CDE) is soliciting bids for weekly uniform rental, laundering, pick-up, and delivery services to support its operations at the Sacramento Distribution Center. The goal of this contract is to ensure that CDE Heavy Truck Drivers (HTD) are provided with clean and properly fitted uniforms as per the specifications outlined in this Invitation for Bid (IFB).

The contract will begin approximately on June 1, 2025, and includes options for two one-year renewals.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, tools, permits, licenses, taxes, insurance, bonds, fees, travel, and all other costs associated with uniform setup and the weekly rental, laundering, and pickup and delivery service of uniforms for the CDE at the Sacramento Distribution Center.

The specific items to be rented include:
1. Work Shirts–Collared and Short Sleeves: 77 units
2. Work Pants or Work Shorts: 77 units

Total Items: 154 units. All items must be available in various sizes from small to triple X for shirts and from 29” waist to 54” waist for pants/shorts. All uniforms must be new when provided. The contractor will also handle fittings for sizing and style determination during the initial setup period from June 1-14, 2025. Uniforms will be personalized with name patches and a CDE logo patch as specified.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026. There are options to renew for an additional year from June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027 and again from June 1, 2027 to May 31, 2028.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Sacramento Distribution Center located at 401 North 3rd Street, Sacramento, CA 95811.
