Water Based Fire Protection System Inspection and Repair PW Maint IFB 24-42016-000

Background
The Department of State Hospitals (DSH) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Water Based Fire Protection System Inspection and Repair project at the Napa facility. The DSH's mission is to provide mental health services to individuals with serious mental illness. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the fire protection systems at DSH-Napa are properly maintained, repaired, and certified in compliance with safety standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, prevailing wages, insurance, bonds, and personnel to perform inspection and repair services for the Water Based Fire Protection System. This includes maintaining and certifying fire sprinklers, pumps, standpipes, fire department connections, post indicator valves, and other components of the fire sprinkler systems in accordance with National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 25 standards. The contractor must also ensure that all work meets public works requirements as defined by Labor Code 1720.

Period of Performance
The anticipated term of the agreement is from March 1, 2025, through February 28, 2027. All performance under the agreement must be completed by the termination date.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Department of State Hospitals - Napa located at 2100 Napa Vallejo HWY, Napa, CA 94558.
