Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking wash rack services in Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne Counties. The department is committed to meeting the State’s twenty-five percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal and encourages participation from certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB), SBs for the purpose of Public Works (SB-PW), and Contractors willing to commit to subcontracting a minimum of twenty-five percent (25%) of their net bid price to certified SBs or MBs. Additionally, DVBE participation is encouraged, and a DVBE incentive applies to this solicitation.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide preventable maintenance, repair service, and parts replacement for pressure washers, wash water recycle systems (above ground), wastewater evaporators, and brine systems to Caltrans. The bidder must possess a valid and current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and verifiable experience with the Accubrine System.
The total bid proposal for this Agreement must not exceed $461,000.00. Bid prices/rates shall include various costs such as employer payments to employees, insurance premiums, unemployment contributions, and taxes.
The contract also includes requirements related to small business preference, prevailing wage rates, organic waste recycling compliance, motor carrier permit requirements, contractor registration program compliance, non-collusion declaration for public works, bonds, insurance coverage limits, California civil rights laws certification, Darfur Contracting Act certification if applicable,
Executive Order N-6-22 compliance regarding Russia sanctions disclosure if applicable,
Executive Order N-12-23 compliance regarding Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) disclosure if applicable.

Period of Performance
The IFB is available for prospective bidders from June 4th, 2024. The final date and time for bid submission is June 18th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
The proposed award date is estimated to be on June 25th, 2024.

The contract will be performed in Alpine, Amador, Calaveras,
Mariposa,
Merced,
