Viken Nighthawk Btx Series Imager

The County of Riverside Purchasing Department is requesting competitive bids for the supply of three (3) Viken Nighthawk-BTX series Imagers. These handheld X-Ray imagers are required to support the Special Investigations Bureau of the Riverside County Sheriff's Office (RSO) in their efforts to locate concealed contraband quickly and effectively during traffic stops. The BTX detectors will enable the highway interdiction team to identify contraband hidden in areas exceeding three times the thickness of a typical motor vehicle body panel, thus enhancing the thoroughness of roadside inspections for concealed compartments. This solicitation is issued by the County of Riverside Purchasing Department on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, which is the fourth largest sheriff's office in California, covering more than 7,300 square miles. The acquisition of these units will be funded through grant resources, and the purchase must be completed in accordance with the requirements outlined in Exhibit A product specifications on page 8 of the Request for Quote (RFQ). Bidders are required to provide their lowest and best pricing in their initial submissions. All price quotes must be comprehensive, including shipping and handling, delivery, fuel surcharge, and freight. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office must receive the Viken Nighthawk-BTX units prior to November 30, 2025, to comply with the grant funding deadline. The RFQ will be released on July 22, 2025. The deadline for quotation submittal is August 11, 2025, at 1:30 PM Pacific Time, and bid results will be posted on PublicPurchase.com. The tentative date for awarding the contract is within 5-90 days, contingent upon the lowest bidder meeting all bid specifications.
