Background
The County of Santa Cruz is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide vending machine services at designated County facilities.
The goal of this contract is to enhance workplace convenience by offering reliable and high-quality vending solutions that cater to the diverse needs of County employees and visitors.
Established in 1850, Santa Cruz County is one of California's original counties with a population of approximately 270,861, covering an urban service area of 440 square miles.
Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for:
- Furnishing, installing, stocking, maintaining, and servicing vending machines at County-designated locations.
- Providing a variety of food and beverage options while ensuring machines are clean and operable.
- Offering responsive restocking and maintenance services.
- Installing modern payment systems including cashless options where feasible.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and accessibility regulations.
- Coordinating with County representatives regarding service schedules and operational expectations.
Period of Performance
The contract is intended to commence on July 1, 2026, with an initial term through June 30, 2027, and may include three one-year extensions.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various designated locations within Santa Cruz County.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must possess all necessary licenses and permits required by Federal, State, and local regulations.
They must also provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the RFP.
Additionally, vendors are encouraged to demonstrate experience in providing similar services for at least two years.
