The Valley View Water Consolidation Project involves the following major tasks:
- Installation of approximately 800 linear feet of 32-inch diameter fusible high density polyethylene (HDPE) water main, 2,070 linear feet of 30-inch, 5,410 linear feet of 24-inch, 3,330 linear feet of 12-inch, and 2,180 linear feet of 8-inch diameter water main pipe with restrained joints.
- Work includes installation of valves, fittings, polyethylene encasement, testing, disinfection, clearing and grubbing, excavation, imported sand, backfill and compaction of backfill, potholing all utility crossings, surface restoration, and all necessary appurtenances to complete the system in place.
- Pipeline work also requires excavation of jacking and receiving pits, shoring of trenches and pits as needed, pipe jacking operations, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), and all related backfill and compaction.
- Portions of the pipeline will cross below ground the Union Pacific Railroad within a steel casing and the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel (via HDD), as specified in the Contract Documents.
- For the following locations: Desert View Trailer Park, Magdaleno Lopez, Campos MHP, Meza's Ranch, Valley View Trailer Park, Vista Norte Estates, Valenzuela Luciano, and Soto Water, the scope includes removing the connection to the existing potable water system well and connecting to the public water system, along with all associated onsite work as indicated in the Contract Documents.
- Contractor must furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform and install all required elements as specified.

Potential bidders must be able to comply with the Installation Floater/Builders Risk insurance requirements described in Section 5 of the General Conditions. The successful bidder shall provide Installation Floater Insurance, including Flood and Earthquake, for the full amount of the contract. The successful bidder has fifteen (15) days following receipt of the Notice of Award to provide insurance documents. The number of days beyond the original fifteen (15) days it takes to receive this will be deducted from the Contract Times.
