Uniform and Shop Supplies Rental Services

Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking contractors to provide Uniform and Shop Supplies Rental Services. This initiative aims to ensure that CAL FIRE personnel have access to clean and well-maintained uniforms and shop supplies, which are essential for their operational effectiveness.

The contract is part of CAL FIRE's commitment to maintaining high standards in service delivery while also supporting small businesses and disabled veteran enterprises.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees necessary for weekly rental and cleaning services of uniforms and shop supplies. Specific items include:
1. Coveralls – 100% Cotton, navy, size(s) as provided by CAL FIRE.
2. Shop Towels – Cotton terry cloth, red, 18x18 inches.
3. Shop Towels (Continuous Roll) – Cloth, any color, approximately 12 inches wide.
4. Floor Mats – Nylon with rubber backing, gray, 3x4 feet.

The contractor must ensure that all items are in good condition (free of rips or tears) and replace any items that exceed their estimated useful life at their own expense. The contractor will also maintain a detailed inventory of the items provided.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on July 1, 2025 (estimated) and will expire on June 30, 2028 (estimated). Services will be performed during normal working hours from Monday through Friday.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at CAL FIRE's facility located at 855 Canyon Road, Redding, California 96001.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed to do business in California and provide proof of such through a valid Business License or California Secretary of State registration. Bidders are encouraged to participate in the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) program; while no specific DVBE goal is required, participation is encouraged with an incentive available for verified DVBE participation.

Additionally, bidders must comply with the California Civil Rights Laws and complete various required attachments including the Bid/Bidder Certification Sheet.
