Background
The City of Redlands Parks Division is responsible for maintaining 13 established parks, several trails, and facilities throughout the City. The goal of this contract is to provide unarmed lock-up security services to ensure that all parks and parking lots are secured after hours, specifically after 9:00 p.m.
Work Details
The contractor will perform the following tasks:
- Lock and secure all bathrooms at each park 7 days per week, including specific quantities at each location:
- Brookside Park (1 bathroom)
- Martinez Park (2 bathrooms)
- Crafton Park (1 bathroom)
- Ford Park (2 bathrooms)
- Israel Beal Park (1 bathroom)
- Jennie Davis Park (1 bathroom)
- Smiley Park (1 bathroom)
- Sylvan Park (3 bathrooms)
- Texonia Park (1 bathroom)
- Coyazo Park (1 bathroom).
Additionally, clear parking lots and all visitors before closing and locking entry gates at specified locations:
- Prospect Park (1 bathroom + main gate at entrance)
- Redlands Sports Park (bathroom + parking lot gate)
- Redlands Skate Park (skate park gate and parking lot gate at Sylvan Park)
- Oakmont Park (1 gate)
- Clement Middle School (1 gate)
- Orangewood HS (1 gate).
The contractor must document completion of services at each site, such as a log or checklist. Unarmed security guards must be in uniform and drive a clearly identified “security” vehicle. Emergency or special event services may be requested by the City for lock-up or re-securing of facilities within a specified timeframe.
Period of Performance
The contract period is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various parks and facilities throughout the City of Redlands.

SPECIFICATION CONFORMITY All Bidders must conform to the included/attached specifications and the products they furnish shall be of first class quality and the equipment used to provide said product shall be the best obtainable in the various trades. No advantage shall be taken by the manufacturer in the addition and/or omission of any ingredient or detail that makes the product non-compliant with any of the specifications, although such details are not mentioned in these specifications.
CHANGES / MODIFICATIONS The City reserves the right to order and/or accept changes in the scope of work and/or specification and resulting contract. The successful Bidder has the right to request an equitable price adjustment in cases where modifications to the contract under the authority of this clause result in increased costs to the contractor. Price adjustments will be based on the unit prices proposed by the Bidder in response to this solicitation.
