UC Berkeley Upgrade to Maximo Application Suite (MAS), Cloud Hosting

Background
The University of California, Berkeley (UCB) is seeking proposals for transitioning its IBM Maximo software and data from an on-premise environment to a cloud-based platform. This initiative aims to upgrade the IBM Maximo system from version 7.6.3.2 to the latest version of the Maximo Application Suite (MAS) as part of Facilities Services' operational improvements.

UCB is recognized globally for its academic excellence and innovation, contributing significantly to the economic and social well-being of the Bay Area and beyond.

Work Details
The contract involves several key tasks:
1) Transitioning IBM Maximo from an on-premise Linux server and Oracle database to a cloud-hosted environment;
2) Upgrading the Maximo system to the latest MAS version;
3) Ensuring continuity of two critical integrations with campus financial systems (BearBuy and Berkeley Financial System) and HCM (PeopleSoft HCM);
4) Providing detailed transition plans, technical specifications, cost definitions, disaster recovery plans, performance expectations, and licensing details;
5) Conducting regression testing, ensuring mobile app functionality, and defining cutover requirements for go-live;
6) Providing training materials for both desktop and mobile functionalities;
7) Adhering to UC Berkeley's IT security policies throughout the project.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on April 1, 2026, and conclude on April 1, 2027.

Place of Performance
All work can be performed remotely.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have extensive experience with IBM Maximo software and cloud-hosting environments. They are required to demonstrate proven experience in similar transitions for organizations of comparable size.

Bidders must adhere to data security guidelines, have a business continuity plan in place, and meet all cybersecurity requirements set by UC Berkeley. Attendance at a pre-bid meeting is highly recommended.
