Tree Removal Services for the New Hope Rd Bridge Replacement Project

Background
The County of Sacramento is issuing a contract for tree removal services as part of the New Hope Rd Bridge Replacement Project. The project aims to ensure the safe and efficient removal of trees in compliance with local regulations and specifications. The work will be conducted under the jurisdiction of the County's Community Services Agency and Department of Transportation, adhering to the 2024 Standard Construction Specifications.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and incidental work for tree removal services. This includes:
- Removal of all trees 12 inches and larger in diameter as specified in the base bid plan.
- Alternative A includes the removal of all trees less than 12 inches in diameter.

Specific quantities include:
- 8 trees between 12" to <18" DBH
- 6 trees between 18" to <24" DBH
- 9 trees between 24" to <30" DBH
- 9 trees between 30" to <48" DBH
- 4 trees at or above 48" DBH

Additionally, Alternative A includes:
- Removal of 17 trees at or below 6" DBH
- Removal of 15 trees over 6" to <12" DBH.

Traffic control measures must be implemented during the project.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be completed within Twenty (20) working days from the start date, which is anticipated to begin after the bid opening on December 18, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will take place on New Hope Road at Grizzly Slough, Sacramento County.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid California contractor's license classified as C-49 or C61/D49. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. A bid bond or certified check for at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount is required as a guarantee. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage requirements as per California Labor Code.
