Background
The County of Butte is seeking a firm to provide tree removal services for multiple Eucalyptus trees located behind 1 Gillick Way and 41 County Center Drive in Oroville, California. The removal is necessary due to ongoing issues affecting County facilities and public safety, including pollen interference with air conditioning systems and potential hazards posed by the size and condition of the trees.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to safely fell, remove, and dispose of a total of seventy-eight (78) Eucalyptus trees marked with a pink X. The scope includes:

1. Site Safety and Preparation: Barricade the work area for safety, coordinate scheduling with Facilities Services, and inspect conditions prior to work commencement.

2. Tree Removal: Safely fell or dismantle the identified trees using industry-standard practices.

3. Stump Grinding: Grind stumps at the southeast corner of 1 Gillick Way to ground level, spread grindings in adjacent planters, and apply EPA-approved treatments to prevent regrowth.

4. Debris Management: Remove all tree debris from the site and restore safe access to impacted areas.

5. General Requirements: All work must comply with applicable safety and environmental regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence promptly after execution in October 2025 and must be completed within the timeframe specified in the contract.
