Trash Collection, Hauling, and Disposal Services

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #01A6446 for Trash Collection, Hauling, and Disposal Services in Mendocino County.

The purpose of this Agreement is to establish the terms under which the Contractor will provide necessary trash services, including labor, equipment, and disposal fees. Caltrans aims to ensure efficient waste management while adhering to state regulations and promoting small business participation.

Work Details
The Contractor agrees to provide all labor, trash bins, equipment, travel, and incidentals necessary for on-call, as-needed trash collection, hauling, and disposal services. Specific tasks include:
1. Collection and disposal of trash using four (4) cubic yard bins at the Leggett Maintenance Station (315 bins).
2. Collection and disposal of trash using six (6) cubic yard bins at the Willits Maintenance Station (159 bins).
3. Collection and disposal of trash using four (4) cubic yard bins at the Boonville Maintenance Station (159 bins).
4. Collection and disposal of trash using four (4) cubic yard bins at the Manchester Maintenance Station (159 bins).
5. Collection and disposal of trash using six (6) cubic yard bins at the Fort Bragg Maintenance Station (159 bins).
6. Collection and disposal of trash using six (6) cubic yard bins at the Ukiah Maintenance Station (315 bins).

All associated costs, fees, taxes, and compliance with SB 1383 for organic waste recycling must be included.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and is expected to continue as needed based on service requirements outlined in the IFB.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed in various locations across Mendocino County including Leggett, Willits, Boonville, Manchester, Fort Bragg, and Ukiah.
