Traffic Signal & Lighting Installation on 11th Ave at Fremont St & 11th Ave at Ellington St

Background
The City of Delano is issuing a contract for the installation of traffic signals and lighting at two intersections: 11th Avenue at Fremont Street and 11th Avenue at Ellington Street. The goal of this project is to enhance traffic safety and improve the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic in these areas. The estimated project cost ranges from $900,000 to $950,000.

Work Details
The work includes the following tasks:
- Installation of traffic signals at both intersections,
- Installation of traffic striping, pavement markers, and markings,
- Installation of electrical conduits,
- Other miscellaneous improvements as specified in the project plans and specifications.

The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary transportation, labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, permits, utilities, and other items necessary to complete the work.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to be substantially completed within 60 working days from the issuance of the 'Notice to Proceed', which is anticipated by August 2025.

The contract work will be performed at the intersections of 11th Avenue and Fremont Street & 11th Avenue and Ellington Street in Delano, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid General Contractor license (Class A or C-10). All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations as per Labor Code section 1725. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a bid security in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check or bidder's bond equal to at least 10% of their bid amount.
