Background
The Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) is a Joint Powers Agency established in 1977, responsible for coordinating transit services across western Riverside County. The agency operates a fleet of 179 transit buses and approximately 76 support vehicles, including cars, light trucks, and vans. Work Details
The contractor will provide towing services for RTA's fleet of buses and support vehicles. Specific requirements include:
1. Provision of a flat-bed or landoll towing vehicle capable of towing full-sized buses that are 102 inches wide and between 30 to 40 feet long.
2. Towing must not utilize the 'hook' method.
3. Services must be initiated within 90 minutes of a call for service.
4. The contractor must supply sufficient personnel to assist with towing operations without assistance from RTA employees.
5. All material, equipment, and labor necessary for the towing services must be provided by the contractor.
6. Invoices must detail pick-up and drop-off locations, total mileage, and vehicle numbers.
Period of Performance
The contract will have a base term of one year starting from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with two optional one-year extensions available.

Services will be performed at RTA facilities located at:

- 700 Scaramella Circle, Hemet, CA 92545.
Bidder Requirements
