Towing Franchise Service

Work Requested:
The City is soliciting qualified proposals from tow truck operators to provide tow truck services. The selected operator will serve the City for a ten (10) year term, or for a duration determined by the City Council at its sole and absolute discretion, as outlined in Section 29-238 of the Municipal Code of the City of Fontana.

Requesting Entity:
This opportunity is issued by the City of Fontana.

Background:
The City requires reliable tow truck services and is seeking to establish a franchise agreement with a qualified operator. The term of the agreement is intended to be ten years, but the City Council reserves the right to adjust the term as necessary.

Contract Requirements:

• Proposals must be submitted by qualified tow truck operators.
• If two or more qualified bids are received, the City will rank the bidders according to points awarded based on the City's selection criteria.
• Despite the number of qualified bidders, the City Council retains sole and absolute discretion to grant a franchise, or to decline to grant a franchise altogether.
• The City also retains the right to determine whether it will seek future bids for tow truck services.

Interested tow truck operators must submit their proposals in accordance with the City's requirements and selection criteria.
