Tobacco Prevention Resident Survey

Background
The County of Santa Clara, through the Public Health Department (PHD), is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to conduct research aimed at understanding residents' attitudes, opinions, and knowledge regarding tobacco use and exposure to secondhand smoke. The goal is to gauge public opinion on potential strategies related to tobacco use.

The County of Santa Clara is the sixth most populous county in California, with a diverse population and a mission to protect and improve community health. The funding for this project comes from the California Department of Public Health Tobacco Prevention Program.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1) Administer a survey instrument in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese to collect data that is demographically and geographically representative of Santa Clara County residents, including oversight of the entire data collection process;
2) Administer a survey instrument in English and Spanish specifically targeting residents of the City of Gilroy and one other jurisdiction identified by the Tobacco-Free Communities (TFC) Program, also with oversight of data collection;
3) Provide raw data to the TFC Program upon completion of data collection. All activities must be completed by March 31, 2025.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is seven months, with an option for renewal for four additional one-year terms. The project must be completed by March 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within Santa Clara County, California.
