TIS | Fiber Optic Cable Installation Services

Background
The Department of Technology (DT) of the City and County of San Francisco is seeking qualified suppliers to provide proposals for the Public Safety Systems (PSS) with Fiber Optic Cable Installation Services, indoor/outdoor telecommunications cabling, and other public safety systems installations and upgrades. The intent of this RFP is to select a pool of vendors that DT can assign work on an as-needed basis. No data transport services are allowed at any time; this RFP is strictly for installations and upgrades.

Work Details
The Solicitation requests proposals for two main categories: 1) Supplemental individual skilled resources to join existing DT work teams that plan, install, and maintain indoor and outdoor telecommunications and network cabling, and related telecommunications and networking infrastructure;
2) Turn-key managed work teams with the knowledge, tools, and equipment to plan and execute defined scopes of work installing indoor and outdoor telecommunications and network cabling, and related telecommunications and networking infrastructure.

Period of Performance
The contract term is anticipated to be four (4) years with an option to extend for one (1) additional year, resulting in a total potential contract term of five (5) years. The anticipated contract not-to-exceed amount is $3,000,000 for the initial term.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in San Francisco, CA.
