Description

The State of California, acting through the Board of Trustees of the California State University, hereinafter called Trustees, on behalf of San Diego State University, hereinafter called University, is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from interested and qualified General Contractors (Respondents) to provide Pre-Construction and Construction Manager services with lump sum pricing for the design and construction of multiple minor capital projects under a master enabling agreement (MEA).
Background
The State of California, through the Board of Trustees of the California State University, is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for General Contractors to provide Pre-Construction and Construction Manager services for multiple minor capital projects on behalf of San Diego State University.
The goal is to establish a Task Order-Construction Agreement under a Master Enabling Agreement (MEA) to facilitate the design and construction of various projects.

Work Details
The selected General Contractor will provide services including:
- Collaboration with Trustees on design, constructability, cost, and schedule during the preconstruction phase.
- Development of Lump Sum proposals for construction.
- Management of construction phases under individual project agreements.
- Services may include Capital Renewal Projects, Major Maintenance Projects, Renovation, and New Construction Projects.
- The total maximum budgeted cost for all projects shall not exceed $10 million, with no single project exceeding $3 million.
- Compliance with prevailing wage laws is required.
- The General Contractor must be licensed in California with a 'B' license and have an architect licensed in California as part of their team.

Period of Performance
The contract will be in effect for three years from the date of execution.
