Surgical Power

Background
The County of San Mateo is seeking proposals for Surgical Power to enhance the operational capabilities of the San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC), a public hospital and clinic system accredited by The Joint Commission. SMMC serves the health care needs of all residents in San Mateo County, emphasizing education and prevention without regard for ability to pay. The goal of this contract is to find new power instruments for the operating room (OR) to replace those that are becoming obsolete.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing new surgical power instruments for the operating room. This includes identifying suitable replacements for existing equipment that is outdated or no longer functional. Specific requirements include ensuring that the new instruments meet current medical standards and are compatible with existing systems in use at SMMC.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a term of five years, commencing from the date specified in the final agreement.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at San Mateo Medical Center and its associated outpatient clinics throughout San Mateo County.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate they have been providing similar services for at least five years, be legally authorized to do business in California, and confirm registration with SAM.gov. Additionally, proposers must provide evidence of insurance coverage including Cyber Liability and Technology Errors and Omissions. They must also comply with local business preference ordinances if applicable.
