Description

The City is seeking a qualified electrical contracting firm to provide comprehensive maintenance and repair services for its street lighting and traffic signal infrastructure. The work under this contract will include:

Maintenance and repair of traffic signals, street lighting, flashing beacons, lighted crosswalks, and other City-owned electrical equipment
Emergency repair services
Non-emergency routine inspections
Upgrades and installation of new equipment

This solicitation is issued by the City, which operates and maintains a network consisting of 47 traffic signals with various controllers, 2 HAWK signals, 1 miscellaneous signal at a fire station, 11 rapid flashing beacons (RRFB), 5 advance signal flashing beacons, and 5 additional flashing beacons.

The contract is anticipated to have a not-to-exceed amount of $1,000,000 for the two-year term ($500,000 per year). The agreement is expected to run from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028, with the possibility of up to three (3) one-year extensions.

To be considered, contractors and their subcontractors must possess a valid and current CSLB C-10 Electrical Contractor's license issued by the California Contractor's State Licensing Board (CSLB). Compliance with all other applicable licenses, insurance, and permit requirements of the City, State, and Federal governments, as well as all other legal requirements, is mandatory.

Additionally, proof of registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) is required for both the bidder and its subcontractors in order to be eligible to submit a proposal or enter into a contract for this public works project.
