Storm Water Pump Station Enhancements (Non-PLA)

Background
The City of National City is issuing a contract for enhancements to the Storm Water Pump Station under CIP No. 25-11. The goal of this contract is to improve the existing pump station's infrastructure and services, ensuring compliance with operational standards and enhancing overall functionality.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a new SDG&E service to the existing City pump station, which includes: installation of a new concrete pad, meter, and disconnect switch; intercepting and extending the pump building feeder; coordinating with SDG&E to establish a new 120/240, 3-phase, 4-wire service.

Additionally, the project involves removing and replacing the existing storm water pump automatic control system with a new pump control system. This includes reconnecting all existing power and control conductors and commissioning the new pump control system. The contractor is also responsible for obtaining a Caltrans encroachment permit for all work within the right-of-way and must coordinate with the City, SDG&E, and Caltrans for any required permits, including emergency encroachment permits if necessary.
