Storm Drainage System Rehabilitation and Replacement Project at Alester Avenue and Various Locations

Work Requested:
The Storm Drainage System Rehabilitation and Replacement Project involves the following key tasks:

• Upsizing the existing 12-inch storm drain line to a 36-inch pipe to increase storage capacity and address historical flooding issues.
• Replacing storm drain pipes at two locations: Alester Avenue (from Hamilton Avenue to Dana Avenue) and Lambert Avenue at Birch Street.
• Removing and replacing all connected catch basins due to the pipe upsizing.
• Performing additional related work as needed, including street striping, sidewalk, curb and gutter, and curb ramp improvements, as required by the location of the new storm drain pipes.

This solicitation is issued for the Storm Drainage System Replacement and Rehabilitation Project (SD-25000).

Background:
The project is initiated in response to a history of flooding in the affected areas. The proposed improvements are designed to enhance the storm drainage system's capacity and reliability at the specified locations.

Contract Requirements:
Contractors must be prepared to perform all pipe replacement and upsizing work, as well as any necessary street and sidewalk restoration, including curb, gutter, and curb ramp modifications. Removal and replacement of catch basins is also required.
