Statewide Electrical Low Voltage Services for High North, Bay, and Central Regions for FMD

Background
The Department of General Services, Facilities Management Division (FMD) of the State of California is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Statewide Electrical Low Voltage Services. The FMD manages, maintains, and operates state buildings and grounds statewide. The goal of this contract is to procure urgent, on-call electrical low voltage services across the High North, Bay, and Central Regions.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials required for urgent, on-call Electrical Low Voltage services (600 Volts and below). Services include: Evaluate and Diagnose; Repair and Replace; Test and Inspect; Report of Findings.

Specific tasks include evaluating circuit breakers, automatic transfer switches (ATS), electrical distribution equipment, lighting systems, and performing necessary repairs or replacements. The service locations are detailed in Exhibit A, Attachment 1.

Period of Performance
The anticipated term of the contract will be for 36 months.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various state buildings located in the High North Region, Bay Region, and Central Region of California as specified in Exhibit A.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Class C-10 Electrical Contractor’s license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs. Bidders must also provide proof of insurance including General Liability, Commercial Automobile Insurance, and Worker’s Compensation. Additionally, bidders must document a minimum 3% participation goal for Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) as per Public Contract Code requirements.
