Work Requested:
The City of South San Francisco is seeking sealed written proposals for the installation of a 250 KW / 506 KWH Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at 901 Civic Campus Way (Library | Parks & Recreation Center), South San Francisco, California. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:
- Furnishing and installing a factory-assembled, self-contained outdoor BESS enclosure within the existing parking lot area
- Providing a unit with integral HVAC, battery management, and fire detection/suppression systems
- Interconnecting the BESS with the facility's electrical distribution system to manage peak electrical demand, improve energy performance, and provide standby power for enhanced resiliency during utility outages
- Completing associated work such as equipment pad construction, trenching, installation of electrical equipment, electrical interconnections, controls integration, and coordination with existing building systems
- Performing wall penetrations, waterproofing, exterior finish, metal fabrications and supports, as well as concrete and other site work
