Solids Removal and Disposal Services for MWD Diemer and Weymouth Water Treatment Plant

Background
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) is a public agency established in 1928, primarily focused on providing supplemental water supply for domestic and municipal uses at wholesale rates to its member agencies.
The agency is seeking bids for solids removal and disposal services specifically for the Diemer and Weymouth Water Treatment Plants, which are critical facilities in its operations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing solids removal and disposal services at the Metropolitan Diemer and Weymouth Water Treatment Plants. This includes:
1. Loading solids from hoppers and basins.
2. Recycling or reusing solids where possible.
3. Proper disposal of solids in compliance with all applicable regulations.
4. Ensuring facility access for operations, including managing contractor's solids holding areas.
5. Adhering to Metropolitan’s traffic requirements and restrictions during operations.
6. Providing necessary equipment for the tasks outlined.
7. Maintaining site controls and ensuring proper invoicing and recordkeeping.

Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for a term of five (5) years, starting from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Metropolitan Diemer and Weymouth Water Treatment Plants located in Southern California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific qualifications including:
1. Being an established contractor with at least four years of experience in similar work.
2. Possessing a valid business license.
3. Having documented safety policies and procedures in place.
4. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference is required to be eligible to bid.
