SNF Courtyard Shade Structures IFB 24-20141

Background
The Department of State Hospitals (DSH) is issuing this contract to provide shade structures in the courtyard of the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) at Metropolitan State Hospital.
The goal of this project is to enhance outdoor spaces for patients by providing necessary shade and improving overall facility aesthetics and functionality.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, prevailing wages, insurance, bonds, and personnel to complete the following tasks:
1. Install new shade structure and concrete paving as shown on the drawings.
2. Replace concrete walk surfaces and concrete walk joints as needed to accommodate ADA compliance.
3. Install landscape planter edging board as shown on the drawings.

The project includes demolition of existing structures and installation of new shade structures manufactured by USA Shade (or approved equal), with specific dimensions of 18'-0" wide by 18'-0" long.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence upon contract award and is anticipated to be completed within a specified timeframe that aligns with project milestones outlined in the contract documents.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Metropolitan State Hospital located at 11401 Bloomfield Avenue, Norwalk, California 90650.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all applicable regulations including obtaining necessary licenses and permits.
The contractor must also ensure that all work adheres to safety standards set forth by OSHA and local building codes.
