Small Equipment Rental Services

Background
The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is seeking bids from qualified contractors for Small Equipment Rental Services. The purpose of this contract is to provide access to various types of small equipment on an as-needed basis to support maintenance, construction support, and special project activities. The budget for this effort is $100,000.00 for a one-year term.

Work Details
Contractor shall provide rental services for small equipment as requested by OCTA, which may include but is not limited to:

- Temporary fencing
- Mini Excavators
- Windscreens
- Grinders
- Portable barriers
- Compactors
- Portable generators
- Rototillers
- Industrial fans
- Portable Air Conditioner Units
- Light towers
- Storage Containers
- Air compressors
- Pressure Washers
- Forklifts
- Scissor lifts and other comparable small equipment.

Equipment must be compliant with safety standards and in good operational condition. Deliveries and removals must occur within 24 hours of request. In case of malfunction or failure of equipment, replacement units must be provided within 24 hours. The contractor is responsible for all associated fees including transportation and setup costs.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a one-year term starting from the effective date of the agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various OCTA facilities or job sites throughout Orange County including locations such as Goldenwest Transportation Center in Anaheim and Laguna Beach Transportation Center.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must not be subject to any Ukraine/Russia-related economic sanctions imposed by the State of California or the United States Government. Bidders are encouraged to subcontract with small businesses. Contractors must maintain insurance coverage including Commercial General Liability and Workers’ Compensation as specified in the solicitation.
