See Addendum No.1.......IFB-24-1233 Turf Management Services - Sports Field at Cal Expo

Background
The California Exposition & State Fair (Cal Expo) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Turf Management Services for the sports field located at 1600 Exposition Boulevard, Sacramento, CA.

The goal of this contract is to maintain the sports field turf to meet United Soccer Leagues (USL) standards and support various venue events.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to maintain the sports field turf. Specific services include:

- Managing and maintaining hybrid Bermuda turf
- Supplying and managing a professional reel mower
- Trimming along cement edges and pathways
- Supplying professional-grade fertilizers and herbicides
- Managing an irrigation system
- Applying herbicides to unwanted weeds
- Performing turf aeration 3-4 times yearly
- Conducting yearly soil testing
- Overseeding with perennial ryegrass
- Coordinating with Cal Expo for event schedules
- Managing watering schedules before events
- Supplying proper turf field paint and equipment for field painting
- Assessing field conditions after events
- Coordinating repairs with Cal Expo representatives
- Providing all necessary equipment including aerators, blowers, tractors, etc.

The contractor must have five years of experience in managing hybrid Bermuda turf for sporting venues.

Period of Performance
The term of the agreement is from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025, with an option to extend for one additional year at the same bid pricing.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed on the grounds of the California Exposition & State Fair located at 1600 Exposition Boulevard, Sacramento, CA.
