Background
The California Exposition & State Fair (Cal Expo) is seeking a venue operations management company to oversee the operations and management of its multi-use sports facility, known as Heart Health Park, located at 1600 Exposition Boulevard, Sacramento, California. The facility includes a stadium with a capacity of 11,800 for sporting events and can accommodate up to 13,500 for concerts. The Sacramento Republic Football Club (SRFC) is the current anchor tenant. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective management of events including soccer games, concerts, and other activities while adhering to Cal Expo’s policies and state regulations.

Work Details
The selected proposer will be responsible for:
- Onsite management of all events at the Venue, including booking and managing concerts and SRFC activities (games and practices).
- Event scheduling, booking, and contracting.
- Facility operations and event management.
- Financial reporting and accountability.
- Marketing, sales, and administration.

Specific services include:
1) Maintaining an event booking calendar for future events.
2) Employing and supervising Venue Management Operations staff.
3) Providing adequate staffing during events.
4) Updating the multi-use sports facility website.
5) Preparing an annual operations budget in coordination with Cal Expo management.
6) Keeping accurate accounting records related to event activities.
7) Submitting monthly reports detailing managed events, personnel costs, contracted services, secured events, maintenance records, etc.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on January 1, 2025, and terminate on December 31, 2026. There is an option to extend the agreement for an additional year through December 31, 2027 if mutually agreed upon.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Heart Health Park located at 1600 Exposition Boulevard, Sacramento, California.
