Security Gate, Fencing and Electrical Installation in Sacramento County

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking a contractor to provide security fencing and electrical services at the Caltrans HQ Warehouse in Sacramento County. The contractor is expected to install a 24 feet wrought iron gate with a new motorized gate opener and all necessary electrical wiring and accessories.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, supplies, vehicles, equipment, travel, working drawings, permits and incidentals necessary to install one (1) 24 feet (24’) wrought iron gate with one (1) new motorized gate opener.
In addition, with all electrical wiring to power the gate and all accessories pertaining to this project.
The contractor must possess a valid and current Class A General Engineering Contractor and/or C-13 Fencing Contractor, C-28-Lock and Security Equipment Contractor, D-28-Doors, Gates and Activating Devices plus a C-10 Electrical Contractor licenses issued by Contractors State License Board (CSLB).
The contract also requires compliance with State General Prevailing Wage Rates for the County of Sacramento.

Period of Performance
The time schedule includes the availability of the IFB on April 2, 2024; mandatory pre-bid site inspection on April 10, 2024; written question submittal by April 15, 2024; final date for bid submission on April 18, 2024; and bid opening on the same day.
The proposed award date is estimated to be on April 25, 2024.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Caltrans HQ Warehouse in Sacramento County.
